To start the application, we need to know what you're looking for in a dog/puppy and learn about your home and lifestyle.
How to Apply
If you wish to apply to adopt one of our dogs from Paws A While Shelter, we ask that you please complete the below PAWS Adoption Application Form and submit.
By answering each question with as much detail as possible, it will assist with your application.
What Happens Next
Once your application is received, it will be processed to see if you would be a suitable match to the dog you are interested in. Should we feel that your application is suitable, we will then contact you to invite you for a meet and greet with the dog.
If you do not hear back from us within 10 days, please assume that your application did not match the requirements of the dog you applied for.
Please note that any meet and greets with any of the dogs in our care will be arranged by appointment only. During the meet and greets, you will meet Catherine McGowan-Lloyd, from All About Dogs, our behaviour consultant to further discuss the dogs training and behavioural needs.
Our Adoption Fees
- Puppies up to the age of 6 months - £350.00
- Dogs aged over 6 months old and up to 9 years old - £300.00
- Dogs 9 years old and over- £200.00
This helps to cover some of the vet fees and routine care given to our dogs and helps to ensure we can continue rescuing dogs in the future.

The information you provide on the adoption application will be used by Paws A While Shelter for the purposes of facilitating your application to adopt a dog. We respect your privacy and will keep your information safe and secure, and we will only use in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
